The broader impacts of diabetes on Australia’s health system and economy, and recent advances in the prevention and management of this significant health condition, will be the focus of a new inquiry by the Health, Aged Care and Sport Committee.
As the Committee Chair, Dr Mike Freelander MP was delighted to announce this inquiry today with Committee members in attendance.
The Inquiry will be broad and examine current policies and programs that aim to prevent, diagnose, and manage these conditions.
The Committee looks forward to hearing from individuals with diabetes, healthcare service providers, researchers, peak bodies, the Australian Government, state/territory governments & members of the public.
Submissions from interested individuals and organizations are invited by 31 August 2023. The preferred method of receiving submissions is by electronic format lodged online using a My Parliament account.
